Remembering David Oliver

Donation protected
On behalf of the family of David Oliver, I am setting up this Go-Fund-Me.

With broken hearts, his family is coming to terms with knowing that sometime between Friday July 31 and Sunday August 2, 2020, David was the victim of a senseless homicide.

I had the honour of being one of David’s high school teachers. He was an exceptional student in the classroom and an extremely talented athlete. It didn’t matter what sport he was playing, he dominated. He was well-liked by staff and students alike. I can echo Chief Jason Henry’s comments; “He was a very kind and peaceful young man. He was a very strong and strapping young man. Always very polite to people when I see him, always acknowledging me in a very respectful way.”

I also have the honour of being not just a co-worker of his beautiful mother Carla, but also a friend. I cannot begin to imagine the heart-wrenching pain that she is experiencing. No mother should ever have to bear something this tragic. He was tragically taken from his loving wife Gabriella, wonderful father Earl (Mooch), brothers Leon, Chris, Sean and Trevor, and sister Faith who will all miss him tremendously. He will be greatly missed by his Grandma and his nephews as well as Aunties, Uncles, Cousins, and friends.

No amount of money will ease the pain of their loss. Minimizing some of the financial stress will assist the family at this time. The initial funds will assist in paying for his memorial service / funeral and any extras will help them through the difficult times ahead.

Please consider helping by donating any amount you are able and/or by sharing this Go-Fund-Me with your family and friends. 100% of the proceeds will be given to his family to help them through this difficult time.

The Oliver Family sincerely appreciates all of your love and support.

David may you rest peacefully in the loving arms of your Lord.
