Chris Burrous, a fixture on KTLA 5's Morning News in Los Angeles, passed away unexpectedly on Thursday. For decades, audiences across the country welcomed Chris into their homes. He was an award-winning journalist and anchor, a storyteller, a connoisseur of the best mom-and-pop joints in every town he lived in - Burrous Bites - but the one role he was most proud of was husband and father. Chris was a husband, a father, a son and a friend. This account has been set up - with his family's blessing - to help Chris's wife Mai and nine-year-old daughter Isabella, the loves of his life. Chris's friends want to make sure Mai and Isabella have all the support they need during this difficult time. As they mourn and deal with this sudden loss, the last thing they need to worry about right now is how to pay for a funeral, Mai finding a job, bills and other immediate expenses. If you had the good fortune to know Chris or if he simply brought you a smile from the other side of your TV, I hope you will consider a donation. It takes a village and together WE can make a difference. No amount is too small. All monies collected here are going straight to the family. Please share and please keep Chris's family, including his parents, mother-in-law and extended members, in your thoughts and prayers. We love you Mai and Isabella.
