Help Justin Meneses and family honor his grandfather Arnulfo J. Salazar
On Thursday, May 31st at 6:00PM Mr. Salazar was struck by a police car while crossing the street. It left him in extremely critical condition. Officers and first responders rushed him to CMC Main, where the staff pushed beyond their limits to care for him.
Despite their best efforts he passed away Sunday morning at 10AM with his children and grandchildren at his side.
“We are grateful and blessed that he fought to hang on long enough for us to say goodbye. We cherish his memory, and as we feel the pain of loss we must also face the pain of medical and funeral expenses.”
The family is seeking an external investigation, but legal counselors say it could take a few months. For now they need help covering travel and funeral expenses.
The average US funeral cost is over $10,000. This campaign will pay for the transportation of his remains to Colombia, as well as covering the legal fees associated with investigating the CMPD vehicle.
Arnulfo wished to be laid to rest next to his departed wife in Colombia, South America.
