<div>a son first, then a brother,

<div>a cousin, a friend, a coach,
</div>
<div>a colleague, a mentor;
</div>
<div>a husband and a father; the proudest roles he joyfully embraced.

<div>There were many hats and shoes that Tom wore,
</div>
<div>and those that were graced by his warmth,
</div>
<div>or laced with his footsteps,
</div>
<div>were given something so impactful, that you'd forget what you faced.
</div>

<div>This is the spirit that he instilled,
</div>
<div>the belief that you did not know,
</div>
<div>but the courage you needed,
</div>
<div>in order to grow.
</div>

<div>If only we could give that in return,
</div>
<div>the magic that he fulfilled,
</div>
<div>for every special moment that he created,
</div>
<div>even long after how we learned.
</div>

<div>Every where he went, every place he travelled,
</div>
<div>he met someone old, someone new,
</div>
<div>someone he knows, or someone in his crew - all just the same, would have felt his fame.

<div>Because he made a connection, and looked you in the eye,

<div>like you were the special one, not just another guy.
</div>

<div>Remember all of him, and all that he brought,

<div>as I write this with a broken heart.
