Remember Upsana

Upsana Balik was born in September 2005 in Kathmandu Nepal and went to live in the Bal Mandir Organizatin Orphanage.  In November of 2005 we began the process to adopt our second child.  This time from Nepal.  We received a referral for Upsana and began the long wait to bring her home.  Unforntuately, just a few months later, we were told that Upsana had "medical complications" and the referral was pulled back.  We were given another referral for a baby girl who was born in January 2006 and who would come home almost a year later and is our wonderful daughter. We were obviously devastated at the loss of the referral and my heart broke for Upsana.  Fortunately, while I was in Nepal to bring our daughter home, I was able to meet Upsana and make arrangements for her support.  Several times a year for the last ten years, we have received updates about Upsana's progress and health.  Sadly, at only 11 years of age, Upsana passed away on July 29, 2017.  In her memory, the orphanage at Bal Mandir is installing a playground.  We are trying to raise $7,000.00 to pay for that playground.  Please help us raise this money so the Upsana is never forgotten.
