Jaicee’s Medical Relief Fund

As some of you may know, Jaicee Gonzalez has recently been suffering from sudden onset epileptic seizures. The type of seizures she suffers from are called status epilepticus, meaning that once they start they last much longer than a normal seizure which is the cause of her prolonged hospitalizations.

The first seizure happened late at night on September 16th. Jaicee spent almost 2 weeks in the ICU, but luckily recovered physically. Unfortunately, only 6 days shy of celebrating her 23rd birthday and being 6 months seizure free, she suffered another debilitating seizure while visiting her family in Miami. Her mother, Marissa, spent a week sleeping in hospital chairs at Jackson Memorial Hospital where they took exceptional care for Jaicee.  After another week spent in the ICU under heavy sedation Jaicee is home and recuperating.

Although we are thankful Jaicee is recovering and in the care of specialists, the financial burden is an unfortunate byproduct of her medical care. Since Jaicee will be unable to work until she is deemed fit by a doctor, Any donations will go directly to assisting Jaicee with her medical bills and expenses.
