Relief to Franklyn’s Family

On the 18th September, Franklyn’s nine immediate family members huddled in the basement frightened and cold. Surrounded by darkness, taunted by the sounds of destruction outside, water began to seep into their home around their ankles, no water or food – should they stay or should they go?


When the storm finally passed they ventured outside and barely recognized their community. Piles of rubble replaced the homes of their neighbours, their roof gone, both vehicles destroyed, there’s no power and they’re being told it might be months before it will be restored, food and water are scarce and unfortunately the streets are becoming unsafe from opportunistic looting and violence… the situation is truly unfathomable.


We are thankful beyond words that Franklyn’s family members are alive, but they are in desperate need of support to help them through this nightmare. They cannot leave until airports and Ports are restored


We have been overwhelmed by friends, Royal LePage  Family and colleagues reaching out, asking how to help. Sending supplies will be logistically difficult until basic infrastructure is available again so for now, your donations through this GoFundMe portal will provide them with the means to acquire the immediate relief they need and begin to rebuild. 

We are also collecting food donations, once received the emergency response team on the ground will distribute to all the Dominicans. If you would like to contribute, we graciously request non-perishable, travel-hardy food & tins. They can be dropped off at the Royal LePage Coquitlam Office during business hours
