It is with great sadness that we, the Ramos family in Chicago, IL write this. Hurrican Maria has devasted the island of Puerto Rico. We have not heard from our family since Tuesday, September 19th. Our family resides on the Northwest side of the island, in the communities of Quebradillas and Isabela. Our immediate concern is their well-being, but we also anticipate their community and dwelling to have been damaged by Hurrican Maria.
Rafael (Sindo) and Luisa Ramos are retired seniors living on their beloved isla. They have worked hard for many years in New York City to support their family, it is now our turn to help uplift them during this difficult time. Sindo is a proud Jibaro who would never ask for a handout, this is why his loving family in the diaspora are asking for your support.
These funds will be used to help assist them in the long road to recovery. We anticipate their needs including water, food, medication costs, transportation, internal and external home repair, and the needs of their surrounding community.
If there are any other ways we could use help we will keep this page updated.
