Hi everyone! David and Paul Stickney are experiencing a crisis right now, and we are calling on their friends, family, colleagues and fans to help them in this time of need.
For the last several years, these talented men have undergone more than their share of "challenges". As you may know, Paul had first one leg, then the other amputated and he was then put on dialysis. His home and life had to be modified to accommodate his new condition. Next, Dave had a series of life threatening illnesses and was hospitalized. He also had part of his foot amputated and was put on dialysis as well.
The brothers managed to overcome many obstacles and recovered nicely.
At that point, Dave was let go from a position as a historical actor, one that he dearly loved. Paul was doing what work he could and they were both directors at a regional Renaissance Faire.
Last month, the fickle mistress Fate dealt them both another blow. After working for the Renaissance Faire for 15 years, their services were terminated, leaving them with little source of income other than disability.
During this difficult time, when modifications needed to be made to their home and vehicle, the house tax payments got into arrears.
Paul and Dave are now facing foreclosure on their home unless they can pay their back taxes of over $12,000.00 . There is not much time before foreclosure proceedings begin.
As acting professionals artists and entertainers, the Stickney brothers have brought enjoyment to so many of us. We know they would appreciate it if we could lighten their financial load right now.
As an incentive and as an expression of their gratitude, the Paul and Dave are pleased to offer the largest donor a homecooked meal at the Stickney house and a souvenir caricature of the donor and favorite Disney character.
