My heart is breaking as I write this. My sweet, tiny Yorkie, Sam, has been through more pain than any dog should ever endure. A few years ago, he was diagnosed with IVDD, making mobility a daily struggle. He’s battled intestinal disease and survived a broken leg, and now, he’s facing his biggest fight yet—a severe periodontal (gum) disease that’s spreading rapidly, causing dangerous inflammation. His mouth is in extreme pain every single day. He constantly licks and fidgets, trying to soothe the unbearable discomfort, but nothing helps. Despite everything, Sam remains the most loving, joyful little soul. He doesn’t know he’s sick—he just wants to be loved, snuggle in our arms, and keep sharing his endless happiness with the world.

I refuse to let him suffer, but the medical bills are overwhelming. The cost of the urgent dental procedures, medications, and ongoing care he needs is more than I can afford alone. Without treatment, the infection could spread to his heart and other organs, putting his life at risk. Time is running out.
