Relief for Service Industry, Greater Boston Area

Dear Community,
As we all know, the COVID-19 pandemic has affected people in different ways. A group disproportionately affected is the Service Industry – restaurant workers, servers, bartenders, the cleaning folks who take care of our offices, restaurants and homes. These people are hurting as they see their incomes dwindle, in some cases down to negligible levels.
We in the Biotech industry are fortunate to continue in our jobs and receive incomes that our families depend on. Our team has been searching for a way to help our friends and acquaintances during these tough times.
As such, Omega Therapeutics has kicked off fund-raising with a donation of $5,000 dollars. We are hoping many other companies and individuals with job security, will join us in assisting our broader community that has taken care of us for many years. Now is the time to come together and help those in need as we demonstrate our collective generosity to take care of our extended community.
Fundraising Update:
Thank you to everyone who supported our COVID-19 fundraising efforts for those in the service industry who have been adversely impacted by COVID-19. Because of your generous donations we were able to raise over $20,000. We are working with The Restaurant Strong Fund through Greg Hill Foundation, a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization, to ensure your donations help those in need in the service industry. Given that the government stimulus checks are being disbursed, presently, we have decided to pause the fundraiser but we will monitor the situation and restart the fundraiser as necessary.
