Emergency relief fund for people affected by Hurricane ETA

On November 4, 2020, Hurricane ETA entered our country Honduras. In its path, it caused major damage, such as the loss of human life. Also, survivors in the hardest-hit areas lost ALL of their property and their homes were flooded so much that they had to climb to the roofs of their homes to not drown. Subsequently, the necessary rescues were carried out and they moved people to the nearest shelters. It is devastating what is currently happening in Honduras, the hostels are not prepared to serve the number of families that need assistance. Whereas in Honduras, the poverty rate is 48.3% and the EXTREME poverty rate is 22.9% (according to the Central American integration system portal), and the areas most affected by the hurricane are high-risk areas. Each shattered household constituted family heritage, and economic losses, are the work and effort of many years of entire families. Currently, Fundacion Lourdes Fugon will donate all the materials needed to support the families in the hostels of Tela. The foundation will provide families with metal sheets, wood for the reconstruction of homes. At the same time, we will provide mattresses, blankets, socks, basic grains, personal hygiene products, and other products.
