My name is Joyce, and I am reaching out for support as I face a challenging medical journey. Due to severe bleeding behind my eye and extreme, uncontrolled glaucoma, I have lost vision in my eye and now live with excruciating pain and constant pressure. Managing this condition requires me to use seven different eye drops multiple times a day, along with daily medication, and there are days when the pain becomes so intense that I have to seek urgent care. Despite my best efforts, the pressure and discomfort have made it difficult to enjoy daily life and maintain my independence.

 After many consultations and much prayer, my doctor has recommended the removal of my eye and the placement of a prosthetic. This procedure will not only stop the bleeding and relieve the pain, but it will also give me a chance to regain my quality of life. At 73 years old, I know some may think the cosmetic aspect shouldn't matter, but I want to feel comfortable and confident as I move forward. The funds raised will help cover the costs of constructing and placing the prosthetic eye, as well as any necessary treatments and follow-up care.

 This decision has not been easy, but I am at peace with it and hopeful for a future without pain.
