In March 2012, Christina was diagnosed with Stage III ovarian cancer. Back in 2012, ovarian cancer survival past 5 years was only 1% of those diagnosed. In 2017, the survival rate changed to 5%.
With a lot of prayers, good doctors, and new therapies, Christina has survived nearly 7 years.
Currently, Christina has had to restart weekly chemo as her abdomen started to fill with fluids and her ca-125 (cancer marker) jumped to 1800 (0 - 35 is normal) this past summer
Christina is now under the care of a Naturopathic Doctor who offers High Dose Vitamin C and Mistletoe Infusions. Both have been used for many years in Germany with great success for cancer patients. Once she can stop chemo, she'd like to do Vitamin C and Mistletoe twice a week.
The cost of Mistletoe and Vitamin C treatments are expensive, but not as expensive as having to travel to Germany or Mexico to the famous cancer clinics for treatments.
