Reinstate Texas Federal Unemployment Benefits

Update 08/05/2021: Our fundraiser was organized to raise funds to retain legal counsel and pay related fees, pay court filings, and other related court and lawsuit expenses. Additional expenses that may be paid from the fundraiser may include travel and related expenses to Austin for attorney meetings, that may include food, lodging, mileage for witnesses and leadership team to attend attorney meetings. Most meetings are through video conferencing, but some in person meetings may and have been required. This shall also include in person attendance of court hearings, as required.

 

During the course of a typical civil suit, expenses are incurred beyond the attorneys representation fees. Typically, other related attorney and legal expenses may include billable time spent in conference with plaintiffs, phone calls, cost of process service, subpoena fees, courier fees, certified mail, copying costs, notary fees, paralegal fees, court reporter fees, transcripts, faxing and scanning of voluminous documents,  legal research and writing, and potentially, expert witness and consulting fees.

 

All monies spent will and have been accounted for, through receipts, and accounting software, including spreadsheets, as attorney, leadership and accounting team recommends. These accounting records will be made available to members, and to those who have and will continue to donate.
