Stephen Hernandez has worked with children on the autism spectrum and their families for the last 15 years. He has helped and inspired so many.
From 2014-2017 Stephen worked 60 hours a week, supported his family and during that time, obtained a Master's degree in Special Education (with honors) and became a BCBA (Board Certified Behavioral Analyst).
His long time dream has been to open his own center for autism close to his home in rural Waxahachie Texas. Families with children on the spectrum in this area often have to travel an hour or more to obtain the services they need. Stephen's center would be the first to open in Waxahachie and will be a beacon of hope to those who have been traveling for years, and for the newly diagnosed.
This GoFundMe account will be a surprise gift that he will be given on 11/25/17 at a surprise party celebrating his finishing school, obtaining his BCBA and recognizing his tireless, heartfelt work over the last 15 years. 100% of these funds will be used for the opening of his center- RBI - Reinforced Behavior Interventions. I know Stephen will be forever grateful and humbled by the generous donations of our friends and family. This gift will be a HUGE surprise for him and I am sure he will be overwhelmed by it.
