Reimagining Mission & Learning in Community

IBTS (International Baptist Theological Study Centre) is seeking to raise funds to enable missional leaders to participate in transformational training experiences. We especially want to support those who minister in regions where the church is less well-resourced, where access to good training is difficult, and where freedom of religion and belief is restricted.

The course is part of the Learning Network, an exciting new initiative delivered by IBTS in collaboration with the EBF (European Baptist Federation) and other mission partners. A key feature of the Learning Network is that participants are equipped to train others so there is a multiplication effect. This is the second Missional Leadership Course to be delivered and will start in September 2021 and is for leaders, youth and children’s workers as well as church planters. It is an international course focusing on Europe, Central Asia and the Middle East. Funds raised will be given as scholarships to course participants who would otherwise be excluded from training and education.

At IBTS we are passionate about delivering these kinds of high quality learning and training experiences because they can transform the effectiveness of mission and ministry. This is seen in the feedback from the first course.

Sara from the Czech Republic says “Even though we are still in a crossroads situation, the impact this course had on me was reigniting the hope of doing missions and having a community where we can learn together.”

Danielle from Greece says “I think I came into this course feeling like I had a seen a lot of Mission in practice and really wanting to understand it from the theological perspective. I think this course has shown me a lot about the convergence of those two things. Rather than trying to look at learning in Mission as one or the other, I am trying to view it as a combination of both as I continue to explore what God is doing around me.”

A participant from Italy says about the course “I can already see the benefit of it, and actually I start to love it. That gave me too the opportunity to learn to make enough space to discern what God is already doing around me and to reflect on that”.

At IBTS we see that creative and impactful training and mission happens when people come together in partnership. We are grateful for people like you who are willing to partner with us. We really appreciate your support in this venture.
