Getting My Life Back

Thanks to everyone that has contributed already.   My first post was terribly written.  This is an update.  First of all, I just want to say that having to raise money for medical needs is totally embarrassing  and should never happen to any American.  There is no excuse for it in a country that has more money than nearly every other country on Earth combined!   Now that my short rant is done and my pride sufficiently swallowed, this is my short, condensed story.   Read on if you like. 

My name is Wallace Beckham, now age 54.  It started about 20 years ago as I was completing graduate school at the University of SC.  It started with a severe ear infection and the related medical bills forced me into to bankruptcy ($35,000).  In the years that followed, treatments and subsequent injuries continued.  I suffer with Meniere's disease,  and severely impaired hearing.  I have suffered major trauma to my neck, back, sciatic and trigeminal nerves.   The combination of injuries  and diseases I have suffered has led to a limited ability to work for the last 15 years, and now not at all.   With no health insurance available or affordable under the UNAFFORDABLE CARE ACT/ OBAMA CARE, the medical bills are mounting again, with a possible bankruptcy on the horizon.  

The treatment is three-fold-  1-Dental work to restore my right jaw (bridges and a possible implant because my pallet will not support a denture, 2- A hearing device to restore hearing to the right ear and improve the limited hearing I have in the left ear.  3-  Surgery for my lower back and the necessary physical therapy.  Additionally, the money would be used to cover my existing medical bills.

With all the health issues I'm facing, federal  disability is not an option.  I don't qualify!   I don't even qualify for a subsidy for health insurance.  These funds will help me to get back on my feet and back to work and put my master's degree to good use!  My extended family has helped as much as they can, but they live on fixed incomes.  Obtaining the funds I'm seeking will greatly improve their lives as well.
