Refugee Program Fund

Through this GoFundMe, I am raising money for my school’s Refugee fund, which allows students from around the world access to a safe learning community and solid education. Currently, we have students from Haiti, Guatemala, Rwanda, Tanzania, and the Congo.
Although English is not their first language, staff and administration work closely with students to break language and education barriers and provide them with the assistance they need to succeed in high school and beyond. Because NPC is a smaller private school, support and education is individualized, something that is often missing within bigger schools.
Without additional funding (past grant funds are no longer available), this program is in dire need of financial help, and these current students may no longer be able to attend and receive the one-on-one support they need. These students are not only my classmates, but also my friends, and bring joy and diversity to the student body. Even a $5 or $10 donation will make a difference in their lives. My goal is to reach $20,000 to ensure each of our current students can attend next year and my school can continue to open the doors to refugee students for the 2018/2019 school year. I would love to see my friends be able to return to a school that cares so deeply about them and their future success.

The funds will be used for the refugee program which provides tuition assistance and ESL tutoring. Any money withdrawn from this account will be put into a check which I will give to the school.)
