Volunteering in Lebanon
I arrived in Calais on October 1st last year without knowing what to expect but with the intention of doing my part for the refugee crisis by volunteering for about a month.
4 months later, I'm still here. Although there is still a lot of work to do in Northern France, I have decided to head to Lebanon- a country wich has an estimated population of 5 million, but with over 1 million registered refugees.
I shall be heading to the Beqaa Valley at the end of April/ start of May this year to work with the organisation Salam LADC, who are working directly to support Syrian refugee communities in the region.
Any donations would be extremely appreciated and will mean that I would be able to extend the work that I've been doing here in France to those people who are displaced in Lebanon.
All the love and thanks,
Ellen
