Help support REDWOOD WINTER, a documentary directed by Quinn VanAntwerp who was raised in Mendocino County but currently lives in upstate New York. Pre-pandemic, Quinn was a Broadway and television performer for 15 years. When Broadway shut down he went back to get a Masters in Journalism and Filmmaking from The S.I. Newhouse School of Communications at Syracuse University. He also is the creator of the podcast The Inheritance Project, that features activist leaders of the past to help us find answers for the future.

After months of reading the news about Jackson Demonstration State Forest, Quinn has decided to collaborate with professional cinematographer David Javier to create REDWOOD WINTER, a mini-documentary about the public outcry for a moratorium on logging in JDSF. The mini-doc planning happened very quickly in an effort to raise awareness now of this timely issue. Quinn is committed to doing interviews with people from a wide variety of perspectives and he is scheduling live interviews in Mendocino County during the week of November 19-23, and will continue to add voices as this story continues.

David Javier is a Director and Cinematographer in the festival circuits with work Published in the LA Times (digital & print) NY Times, Buzzfeed, Huffington Post. He has worked along side of famed film director Jon M. Chu and has worked with brands such as Coca Cola, Reebok, and Google.

This project is time sensitive so please give what you can to help fund this very important documentary.
