They are opposing the construction of a new, 10-pump Chevron gas station, a project that has faced strong resistance from the majority of people who attend the Redwood Valley Municipal Advisory Council, the Grassroots Institute, and CONGAS (Coalition Opposing New Gas Stations). Despite this widespread opposition, the Mendocino County Board of Supervisors recently reversed the denial of a permit by Mendocino Planning and Building Services, allowing the project to move forward.
