Reduce Medical Burden for Lisa's Family

Donation protected

With great sadness we announce the untimely passing of Lisa “Gitchie” Coursey (51) of South Park.  Lisa portrayed significant courage and strength through a complicated health challenge until the very end.  Peacefully with her husband Eric by her side on April 29th entered the gates of Heaven into Jesus’ loving and welcoming arms.

Lisa enjoyed spending time with her family and especially the very short time holding her new grandchild Aubrey.  Lisa was a loving daughter, faithful wife, devoted mother and a tender grandmother who loved spending quality time with her family and going on relaxing vacations with them.   Lisa loved her vacations on the beach but would also compromise with Eric hiking up the mountains of West Virginia, Colorado Rocky Mountains and caving through the hills of Tennessee.  At the end of the day her preference was to relax and play games with her family or relaxing in a hot tub overseeing the beautiful landscape of her vacation spots.  Before becoming a fulltime homemaker, Lisa was a law accountant for a local law firm.  As a homemaker Lisa dedicated her time to homeschooling her children and raising them with Christian values.   Lisa was very active as a youth in the Assemblies of God and provided many years of service as a Sunday school teacher, small group leader, children’s choir volunteer and facilitated communion Sunday mornings.  Lisa was an unbelievable cook and would go above and beyond hosting events and holidays.  She truly loved spending time with her family and friends at these events but all the clean up afterwards was not so much fun and would find a way to delegate those chores to Eric and the boys.   Lisa had a passion for gardening flowers and fresh herbs used in all her recipes.   Lisa’s simple and loving way of life will never be replaced and deeply missed by all who were part of her life.

Lisa is survived by her husband Eric Sr whom they shared 30 years of comfort and joy together; their three sons Eric Jr. (Shelbi), Joshua and Daniel (Samantha Klingensmith); granddaughter Aubrey; loving mother Therese Lonzo, predeceased grandparents Raymond and Helen Lonzo and warmhearted mother in law Loretta; brother in laws Wayne (pre deceased Tammy), Mark and Gary (Melissa), nephews, nieces and many cousins.

In lieu of flowers and many have reached out how they can lend support a GoFundMe page was established to offset medical expenses incurred during her stay in the ICU.  Your donations, love and support are greatly appreciated.

Please consider donating to help cover the medical bills of the nearly two months of Medical Intensive Care Units expenses. A great burden will be removed as our family grieves the unbearable loss of a remarkable woman, spouse, daughter, Mother and Grandmother aka Gitchie.
