Red Ribbon Alert Project App

The Red Ribbon Alert App will help combat the crisis of Missing & Murdered Indigenous Relatives throughout the United States, and hopefully Canada and Mexico in early 2019, and as the database grows throughout the whole world. The app is not only designed to spread information on current missing individuals but also to give the app user tools to protect themselves in situations where they feel they are in danger. Tools such as video recording, sound recording, location detection, and ride service will all be features within the app. A database of known missing individuals by states (US Only for now) will be community based where users can submit to the RRA team cases close to their areas. A Red Ribbon Alert will be sent to all users who have the app on their mobile devices when an individual is reported missing. Helpful links for families currently involved in searches for their missing loved ones will be available within the app.

Red Ribbon Alert has taken a little over a year to design and develop and will soon be available in the Android Market, Apple Store, Microsoft Store, and other mobile shops to download for free. There will be no charge to download or use the app. With RRA being free of charge the challenge is that it cost $99 a month to keep the app running on a large server on all mobile markets considering how much information is within the app along with the tools and services it provides. We have made the goal $1200 simply because we would like to see this app stay live for at least 1 year. The RRA team is looking to roll out this app on major mobile platforms in early 2019 starting with US markets and the hopefully branch out into the Canada and Mexico mobile markets. With so many Indigenous relatives going missing at such high rates with little to no response of help for their families, the time is now. We can no longer stand by and allow for this to happen to our relatives.
