Recently two of my closest friends and I started renovating a space in the west bottoms to turn it into a multi-media warehouse. We've been working hard for the past 3 months, putting in well over hundreds of man hours, not to mention spending money on a very tight budget. We built a control room and office for recording local Kansas City bands, shooting commercials, videos, photography, website building, and graphic design.

All three of us are fathers and are trying to make our dreams come true with hard work and dedication. Everyone should love what they do, and every child should have an example of what can happen in life if you follow your dreams. Not to mention, we're trying to do something to help provide services to the community. We intended to offer affordable production prices to working artists and small businesses like ourselves as well as rent space and equipment for artists also in the production fields with no where or way to create.

That dream got destroyed. Metaphorically and physically. Someone (or someones) broke into our space and destroyed well over $4,000 worth of our hard work and all of the equipment we had moved in so far (fortunately it was not all of it).  They completely destroyed the dream of 3 dad's just trying to help the community. The perpetrator(s) busted through the front door and the control room window  and it is now in pieces on the floor. Our computers (both destroyed) one of them covered in soda and the other is smashed. 2 brand new Studio monitors were kicked in and a large amount of the video equipment is in pieces, lights, cameras, etc.

I was hoping that you might help us with this sad sad story of a local business dream of that has been flipped upside down and thrown into shambles. We've tried speaking with the authorities and there isn't much they can do in this situation since it was not an active break in.. Please help our dreams and aspirations get put back together.

We have since moved out and have no where to go.  We want to help you, but first need some help ourselves.  We built this start up with our own blood, sweat, and wallets.  We were scheduled to be fully operational sometime in march but now that time frame is suspended indefinitely.  We need a new space to operate.  But more importantly, Matt makes 50% or more of his income from freelance video and photo work.  He has no way to currently do his work, and has lost some of the projects he was in the process of editing (including one of the other start up members wedding footage) So our biggest priority is to help him get an adequate computer to be able to help support his children.

This start up meant the world to us.  It's our dream!  It's for our families, our community, and us.  We built this ourselves, but we can't re-build it without your help!

We need:
-A new computer with adequate video card and processor
-A new space to set up in that fits our budget
-Replacements for vandalized equipment
-Cables and furnishings for where we find the opportunity to rebuild
