<div>The Red River Women's Clinic of Fargo, North Dakota, is readying a new location in Moorhead, Minnesota, in preparation for the Dobbs v Jackson decision.

<div>RRWC has served as North Dakota's only abortion clinic for over 20 years. As a state with a trigger-ban in place, North Dakota would ban abortion in 30 days if Roe v Wade is overturned. This clinic-contingency plan a few miles away (and across the Red River) is the best option to ensure care is not interrupted for people seeking abortions in this region.

<div>As an independent provider, they do not have the name and notoriety to fall back on for funding like national organizations would be able to. But as an "indie clinic", they're also able to meet the unique needs of our region with the most tailored, compassionate care.

<div>Space has been purchased in Moorhead, MN but renovations and furnishings are needed while care continues at the Fargo, ND location (as long as it is legally allowed). Operating one clinic while renovating another will be incredibly expensive and capital is needed.

<div>Per a recent article in the <a href="https://www.startribune.com/north-dakotas-only-abortion-clinic-will-move-to-minnesota-if-high-court-overturns-roe-v-wade/600177157/" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">Minneapolis Star Tribune</a>:

<div>"The clinic has been operating in Fargo for nearly a quarter-century and serves all of North Dakota, part of South Dakota and northwest Minnesota. While the private clinic also provides pregnancy testing, birth control and testing for sexually transmitted infections, it is primarily an abortion provider.

<div>"Some patients drive as long as six hours to get to the clinic in Fargo, Kromenaker said. If no clinics provide abortions in the Fargo-Moorhead area, those patients would have to drive another four hours to a Twin Cities abortion provider, Kromenaker said, putting abortion out of reach for many."*

<div>*At the time of this article, the South Dakota clinic was still seeing abortion patients but these appointments have since been paused. RRWC will 100% be scheduling/seeing the SD patients who can no longer be seen in their home-state.

<div>As we anticipate the decision from SCOTUS, let us put some energy (and funds) towards making sure people in ND/SD/MN have no lapse in exceptional care.
