<div>Zorginstelling Warande heeft ons mooie terrein met 80 sociale huurwoningen in Driebergen zonder enige betaling ingelijfd. De gebouwen en gronden waren eigendom van Stichting Kraaijbeek, opgericht met ideële middelen en jarenlang liefdevol verzorgd met bijdragen van de gemeenschap. Maar toen werd Warande onze bestuurder.

<div>Onderhoud werd gestaakt en leegstand opzettelijk gecreëerd, terwijl de huur gewoon werd geïnd. Zelfs de 1,3 miljoen euro <em>cash</em> die onze stichting in kas had is verdwenen. Warande wil maar één ding: verkoop en maximale winst.

<div>Op 28 juni brachten NRC en Follow the Money deze misstand groots in beeld. Hun reconstructies zijn vernietigend – maar Warande gaat gewoon door. Bewoners die zich verzetten worden geïntimideerd. Sommigen kregen zelfs dreigementen met huisuitzetting.

<div><strong>Warande huurt topadvocaten in. Wij hebben alleen elkaar – en een lege kas. Met jouw bijdrage betalen we advocaten en andere juridische experts, starten we zo nodig rechtszaken, doen we nader onderzoek en houden we de misstand van vastgoedroof in het publieke licht.</strong>
