<div>Midden juni werden de felbesproken besparingen op de studiebeurzen goedgekeurd. Hierdoor moet je als student minimum 54 studiepunten opnemen om in aanmerking te komen voor een studiebeurs, tenzij je tot een uitzonderingscategorie behoord. Volgens onze schattingen zouden tot wel 20.000 studenten hun studietoelage moeten verliezen om de beoogde besparingen van 34 miljoen te behalen.

<div>Vanuit de Vlaamse Vereniging van Studenten (VVS) hebben we de voorbije maanden al regelmatig onze bedenkingen en kritieken op deze maatregel geuit. Nu de maatregel effectief goedgekeurd werd laten we het hier niet bij zitten. Omdat we vermoeden dat het voorgestelde decreet ongrondwettelijk is wensen we een vraag tot vernietiging in te dienen bij het Grondwettelijk Hof. Dit kunnen we echter niet zonder jullie (financiële) steun.
