Keith French Jr. was diagnosed with Dilated Cardiomyopathy around 10 years ago, He has slowly been in a downwards progression health wise since then. In 2011 he had a Pacemaker/Defibrillator put in, and in May of 2016 had to get a Heartmate 2 LVAD (left ventricular assist device) pump put in. He had to get the pump replaced with a Heatmate 3 LVAD due to complications in May 2018. So since May of 2016 He has been kept alive by these pumps which pump blood for his heart.
He was put on the transplant list in August of 2018, and as of 4AM on the 9th of September has received a new heart. My brother has 4 beautiful kids between the ages of 6 and 13, and a loving wife of 14 years who has supported him for many years. My Brother and his wife have gone through many hardships including losing many close family members, having his house burn down, and his health problems. Through all of this my brother doesn't complain and just keeps going leaning on his faith in God, and the support of his church, friends, and family.
This is from his Facebook page.
" With all the heartache, sadness and disappointment that I have faced in my life all I can say is God is good. I don't understand why I face what I face but God has a plan and it's not always for me to know what it is. I am so thankful for my wife who has had to deal with a lot being married to me. She has always been there for me and been a rock by my side. Her and the kids go thru a lot every time I am hospitalized for anything. She goes thru a lot with worrying and going to work full time to help support our family. The kids are a big help with my medical equipment helping me change my batteries out every night and helping me carry my spare parts around. When I am physically able to (and get my garage roof done) I want to tear my truck(1979 Ford f-150 4x4 460/c6) down to the frame and rebuild it with my kids. Life will always have some disappointments but don't focus on them focus on the good things, family, Christ, and take it one day at a time."
I am raising money to pay for my brothers expenses while he is hospitalized. Money to pay his bills, traveling expenses, time his wife has to take off of work, Etc.
Anything that can be done to help whether it is $1, $5, $10, 100 Etc. will be greatly appreciated, also even if you don't donate and you will just say a prayer for him that would be equally appreciated, thank you for the time you take to read this and God bless.
