<div>On June 12, 2026, Dave’s life changed in an instant. While standing up to protect his staff and business during a chaotic situation, Dave was brutally assaulted. The attack left him unconscious, causing him to fall and suffer a severe traumatic brain injury.

<div>Dave is a fighter, and we are grateful that he is slowly improving every day. However, his path to recovery will be a long and challenging road. The trauma has significantly impacted his cognition and speech. Doctors have emphasized that brain swelling takes time to heal, and Dave will require intensive, long-term speech, physical, and cognitive rehabilitation.

<div>As many of you know, Dave is the heart and soul of Cove W Winery. He has spent years pouring his energy into creating a welcoming space for our community to gather and make memories. Now, it is our turn to rally around him.

<div>How the Funds Will Be Used:

<li>Extensive Rehabilitation: Covering specialized speech, cognitive, and occupational therapies not fully met by insurance.

<li>Medical Bills: Assisting with the mounting costs of his emergency hospitalization, specialized tests, and ongoing neurology care.
</li>
<li>Living Expenses: Supporting Dave and his family with day-to-day expenses that inevitably accumulate with a lengthy illness.
