Recovery for Vivian Kumler

Donation protected

Vivian Kumler and her two pets were safely evacuated from her home on Sunday, August 27th as the waters of Cypress Creek rose to record levels. Her house was built 8 feet above street level and still took on 30" of water as the creek crested. First and foremost, we are thankful for her safety and for the brave heroes who risk their lives to give locals a warm, dry place to weather the storm.

Vivian is a 74 years old widow living on a fixed income. She will soon have knee replacement surgery on both her knees.

As of now, Vivian has lost most of her material possessions. She is currently staying with her sister and brother-in-law; Wanda & Pat Murphy until her house can be repaired.

We were finally able to get into her home once the waters receded on Wednesday, August 30th in order to recover some items. The damage was devastating. The following items lost include; clothes, furniture, flooring, appliances, and car. Living on a fixed income, the cost of the deductibles are a huge burden. We are hoping to raise $3000 to ease the burden on Vivian's shoulders at her time of need.

Although she is safe, the massive task of rebuilding must begin. Vivian has never ask for anything and is one of the nicest and most giving people anyone has had the pleasure of meeting; therefore, this GoFundMe has been set-up to allow this amazing woman to get back on her feet during this very stressful time.

A big thank you from all of her family for your love, support and kind generosity. #houstonstrong #texasstrong

Blessings,
Family of Vivian Kumler
