Recovery for Darian

Donation protected
On Sept 28th our son Darian was in his first major car accident. He's 21. He was trying to pull across Saginaw Main St. and got hit by a dodge truck doing at least 40 miles an hour.

Because he was working at Albertsons as a part time employee, Darian doesn't have insurance. He wasn't on my insurance as he Had insurance from a previous job during my enrollment. But my insurance wouldn't cover any of his injuries anyhow, as it's basically cough and cold insurance.

His list of injuries is extensive, they could be much worse. We are so thankful for all the prayers and that God has been watching over him. We are looking at a brain bruise and a small bleed, skull fractures near his left eye, spine fractures and torn ligaments in the spine near the base of his skull. He will unfortunately be put in a Halo for the next 3 months. He has bruised lungs, bruised, fractured, and 2 broken ribs. He broke both bones in his left forearms, requiring plates and screws. His hip is fractured on both sides, His spleen has a small cut that is bleeding slightly but is getting better. He also has fractured he right ankle which required surgery as well.

The list is long, as will be his recovery time. But with all the support and prayers we know he'll get through it. His hips and leg will not be load bearing for at least a couple of months. He's going to be out of work, and very likely is going to have a lot of therapy as well as expenses from the surgeries and the ongoing hospital stay.

We love everyone who has expressed concern and given prayers. You have no idea how much it helps.

Thank you,

The Hart Family.
