Recover the Mount 7 Trails

Donation protected
During the windstorm of July, 2017, hundreds of trees blew down across the biking and hiking trails on Mount 7 in Golden, BC. There is a horizontal forest obliterating long sections of trails, including The Schacher and 5K. A number of efforts are being made to fund the removal of the trees by professionals (it is a highly complex and dangerous task, and we plead with everyone to not attempt to cut any of the merchantable timber in the logging blocks; many other trees lie on the trails outside of the logging blocks too). This is one such effort, in which we are asking you to contribute money so that we can quickly reopen this tremendous biking zone for all to enjoy.

I'm taking on this fund-raising project on behalf of the Golden Cycling Club. As a local biking enthusiast I want to do what I can to contribute to the marvel that is the trail network that surrounds our neighbourhoods.

All money raised will go towards clearing the trails or rebuilding the trails. Any excess, should there be any, will be used to further improve the bike trails on Mount 7. All money, minus the gofundme fees, will be withdrawn by the Club treasurer, Peter Mentz, and deposited into  the bank account of the not-for-profit Golden Cycling Club.

Biking: not all your money should go just into your bike.
