I couldn't reach my goal so I started my recording project in Flagstaff, AZ. I have most of the music bed down but I also need three more songs to record so a total of 8 songs on the album. Your help is still needed for the mixing, mastering and the duplication process. I'm slowly getting there. I'm also taking my time to make sure the studio recording is done right. Thank you for your continued support and sharing the love.
I never thought I'd be here and I don’t want to miss this opportunity. However my friends, I can’t do this without you. So today I humbly ask for your support to be able to make this incredible opportunity a reality.
My name is Harrison Begay. I am a full blood Dine’ ( Navajo ) from Tucson, Arizona. Music has been a life long dream. I started with the clarinet in the 4th grade then picked up guitar around the age of thirteen. After pursuing my career as a television news photojournalist it was time to follow my passion. I left my career in 2002 and moved back to AZ.
Over the years I have evolved as a performer, guitarist, songwriter and vocalist. Many of you know of my music from shows with the Sir Harrison Band and my self-produced CD from 2007 which was nominated for "Best Blues Recording" by the Native American Music Awards in 2008. Over the years I have composed more material and have made the decision to begin work on my newest CD.
I have recently been offered the opportunity to record in Nashville, TN with the incomparable producer/engineer Michael Lattanzi. Mr. Lattanzi’s repertoire includes working with artists including Jewel, Paula Abdul, John Popper & Blues Traveler, Megadeth, LL Cool J, Taylor Dayne, Lauryn Hill, Sugar Ray, Smashmouth, Wilson Phillips, Steve Vai, Chicago, The Doobie Brother and more. Mr. Lattanzi said to me, “We met for a reason, so let’s get your next CD started.”
Any amount is accepted with heartfelt gratitude. Thank you for your kindness and continued support. Keep spreading the love ~ Sir H.
