Reconstruction after Harvey

Donation protected
After Harvey hit, we lost all of our belongings. We had just moved in about a month prior and slowly filled our home with new furniture. Our new house started to feel "homey" and it's not the material things that matters as much as the memories associated with it. We're grateful that we came out alive from this horrible tragedy and Houston and its people have shown us time and again how beautiful and compassionate they are. We're always going to remember and be thankful for the kind strangers that brought us food and clothes when we had none. When we had no place to stay, or no ride, people would step up and give a stranger a hand. We're not here to ask for material things but for funds to start rebuilding our lives. I hope our story serves as a reminder to anyone that even at the lowest point there's always a kind stranger willing to lend a hand, and as an inspiration to anyone out there that our lives don't have to depend on the materials we have but by the people that we're surrounded by.
