Reconstruct David's Right Hand

Donation protected
Until recently, if you wanted to find David Ulschmid on a typical Saturday, he would either be covered in sawdust or out riding a bicycle.

On June 10th, 2018 David Ulschmid had a woodworking shop accident that mangled all four fingers on his right hand. After a couple emergency procedures, he was transferred to Mayo Clinic in Rochester, MN. It was there that the long process of surgically reconstructing his hand began.

The first surgery at Mayo Clinic took 10 hours. This involved taking bone from both hips and taking a large flap of skin from his thigh to cover the hand wound.  The Mayo Clinic surgical team has a plan that should restore some functionality to his fingers. This will require multiple surgeries over the next 12 months.

We are asking for your help to rebuild this woodworker’s hand, so he can build again!

Donations will be used to cover travel expenses and Health Insurance costs. David does have insurance through his employer, but it has a High Deductible and an annual max-out-of-pocket of $6,750. We quickly hit this limit in 2018 and predict that we will hit it again in 2019.

We truly feel blessed by the progress David has made so far. We truly believe it is due to the healing prayers of many. We ask everyone who reads this to KEEP ON PRAYING! It works! And if there is someone in your life that we can pray for, let us know in the comments.

May God continue to bless David, his wife and their daughter as well as everyone who visits this site.

Thank you and God Bless,
