<div>Our restaurant has been opened for 10 years. Within those 10 years, our restaurant has established a strong sense of community within Las Croabas.

<div>The passage of inclement weather brought on by Storm Ernesto in Fajardo, Puerto Rico which occurred during the early morning hours of Wednesday, August 15, 2024, also brought tornadoes of over 150 mph winds.
</div>

<div>‘El Pescador’ suffered much destruction towards its structural elements, which rendered the business inoperable, to date. Since Storm Ernesto, we haven’t had electricity and water in our community.
</div>

</div>
<div>We have 11 employees in total, and we need your help to not leave these 11 families helpless. To do so, we need to open our doors as soon as possible, as we, their employers, are responsible for their livelihoods. We are also responsible to continue paying taxes for our business, even while it is inoperable.

<div>We were the only ones with a total loss in this area.
</div>

</div>
<div>The funds will be used toward payroll, construction materials, such as lumber and electrical components, to further support the structure and the rebuilding of the business, itself.
</div>

<div>The funds would also help pay for the reconstruction labor, along with kitchen and bar appliances which have been damaged, irreparably (i.e., lamps, computers, surveillance cameras, and industrial kitchen appliances).
</div>
<div>Some of the funds would also be needed to rebuild walls (i.e., plaster) and electrical outlets.
</div>

<div>At present, the refrigerator and freezer are being maintained by a single gas generator at home costing us $100/day, so as to maintain the preservation of the food storage contents from the restaurant.
</div>

<div>The money will be deposited in the business account of Angel Ruiz DBA el Pescador, and will be distributed equally.
</div>
