<div>Ich schreibe über islamistische Betätigungen, also Extremismus, auch in der Form, der sich noch an Gesetze hält. Ich schreibe nicht über religiöse Betätigungen oder Handlungen. Das ist eine mir wichtige Unterscheidung.

<div>Vielfach fanden Umtriebe, über die ich aufklärte, später Eingang in Verfassungsschutzberichte oder wurden Teil einer Medienberichterstattung.

<div>Getragen wird das durch Spenden und meine eigene Querfinanzierung über öffentliche Vorträge, Gutachten und Schulungen.

<div>Islamisten, über die ich aufkläre, finden es allerdings nicht gut, wenn ich ihre Tarnungen auffliegen lasse, ich ihren Zugang zu öffentlichen Mitteln oder gesellschaftlicher Anerkennung kritisiere.

<div>Sie belassen es aber manchmal nicht dabei, mich öffentlich zu diskreditieren, sondern ergreifen auch dann juristische Mittel, wenn in der Sache wenig Aussicht auf Erfolg bestünde. Wenn man sie denn durchfechten würde. Eine Besonderheit des deutschen Rechts ist der Einstweilige Rechtsschutz, bei dem zu einer Verfügung sogar ausreicht, wenn der Betroffene das glaubhaft versichert. Das heißt, dass manchmal auch falsche Eidesstattliche Versicherungen zunächst als Beweis gelten und Rechtsfolgen entstehen, denen nur sehr kostspielig entgegenzutreten ist, indem man seinerseits einen Anwalt beauftragt und in eine Verhandlung einsteigt.

<div>Das Ziel solcher Manöver ist es, auch berechtigte Kritik zum Verstummen zu bringen, indem man den Kritiker mit Klagen überzieht. Sogar wenn man gewinnt, werden die Kosten nicht vollends getragen, weil die Anwaltshonorare deutlich über den Summen liegen, die erstattet werden.

<div>So etwas trägt leider in der Regel weder eine Rechtsschutzversicherung noch ist das aus Honoraren zu stemmen. Das ist ein Vorgehen, das leider nicht unüblich ist und auch in anderen Ländern vorkommt. Dort hat sich der Begriff "Jihad by law" etabliert.

<div>I write about Islamist activities, i.e. extremism, even in the form that still adheres to the law. I do not write about religious activities or actions. This is an important distinction for me.

<div>In many cases, activities that I clarified later found their way into reports for the protection of the constitution or became part of media reporting.
</div>
<div>This is supported by donations and my own cross-financing through public lectures, reports and training courses.

<div>However, Islamists that I educate about do not like it when I blow their covers or criticize their access to public resources or social recognition.
</div>

<div>However, sometimes they don't stop at discrediting me publicly, but also take legal action when there is little chance of success in the matter. If only they were fought through. A special feature of German law is interim legal protection, in which an injunction is even sufficient if the person concerned credibly assures this. This means that sometimes false affidavits are initially considered evidence and lead to legal consequences and costs that can only be countered very expensively by hiring a lawyer and entering into a negotiation.

<div>The aim of such maneuvers is to silence even legitimate criticism by bombarding the critic with lawsuits. Even if you win, the costs are not fully covered because the legal fees and the fees of laywers are significantly higher than the amounts that will be reimbursed.

<div>Unfortunately, something like this is usually neither covered by legal protection insurance nor can it be covered by fees. This is an approach that is unfortunately not uncommon and also occurs in other countries. The term “Jihad by law” has become established there.
