<div>Por ello desde Ceiba buscamos ser otro canal para que nuestras redes puedan hacer llegar apoyo directo a donde más se necesite.

<div>Una parte importante del equipo de Ceiba está en Venezuela, en nuestro andar hemos compartido con organizaciones, comunas y colegas periodistas que están atravesando momentos difíciles: buscamos recaudar fondos para apoyarles. Haremos una valoración de necesidades y de adónde están llegando los apoyos, para determinar dónde es más necesario hacer llegar lo recaudado. Les iremos actualizando al respecto.

<div>Hemos visto cómo la ayuda suele concentrarse al inicio de la catástrofe, por eso pensamos que lo recaudado se entregará en dos fases: en la respuesta inicial de la emergencia y en un segundo momento, para apoyar en las labores de recuperación y reconstrucción.

<div>Enviamos toda nuestra solidaridad al pueblo venezolano y aprovechamos para exigir el fin del bloqueo económico criminal que Estados Unidos ha impuesto unilateralmente contra Venezuela: Para enero de 2026, Venezuela acumulaba 1 081 medidas coercitivas unilaterales. Entre 2017 y 2024, el cerco le succionó al país 226 mil millones de dólares —el 213% de su PIB—, un drenaje de 77 millones diarios.

<div>Ese dinero, que debió ser reserva de emergencia, capacidad hospitalaria y parque de maquinaria para la respuesta inmediata, fue confiscado por la decisión unilateral de Washington.
