Hurricane Harvey has already impacted so many of our friends, loved ones, pets and so many we don't each personally know. Praying for each and every life this horrific storm has taken a toll on.
My name is Meghan Mendoza and I live in Denver, Colorado. This is a very special family. My Aunt De, Uncle Karim, and beautiful cousins Aliya (17) and Soleil (15). This past Tuesday morning they evacuated their home in Kingwood, Texas. It's unimaginable what each evacuee had to face, the split decisions they had to make and the pure shock of such an event. There's still so much chaos and unknowns and at this point, our family is relieved to know these special loved ones were able to stay together and reach safety.
Our hope is that the damage and loss is not significant but we know we are facing the reality that our loved ones can be returning to nothing. Currently they are unable to return to Kingwood but are hoping to within the next few days. One of their vehicles was completely submerged and a total loss and the second vehicle was abandoned so they could evacuate via boat. The money raised from this fund is going to help them rebuild, replace what they have lost to Harvey and relieve some of their overall worries.
This is a family that will give the shirts off their own backs to others at any given moment. Incredibly selfless, upbeat no matter what and have the biggest hearts. Our family is grateful for any support you can offer. Even just continuing to send up prayers is more than we could ask for.
I personally will also be donating 50% of each of my LuLaRoe sales to this fund as well.
