Rebuilding the Byers' Home
Donation protected
Last Friday afternoon Thomas and Alex lost most of their home to a fire. The fire was electrical and thought to have something to do with the transformer. Thomas and Alex were thankfully not home at the time and are safe. The damage is pretty devastating, one entire half of their house is gone, while the other half is severely smoke damaged. The hope is that they will be able to restore some of their belongings from the kitchen and living room that were on the less damaged side of the house, but all of their personal belongings were destroyed. Right now they are staying with neighbors, but they are told to expect to live somewhere else for 6 months to a year. The hardest part has been that their beloved cat, Karl, was trapped in the house and unable to get out.
We are hoping that we can help support Thomas and Alex in this difficult time by providing them with some donations to get them by as they work with their insurance company over the coming weeks. Although some things are irreplaceable, your donations will help them rebuild their home together. We greatly appreciate anything you can offer and are so thankful that both Thomas and Alex are ok, that is the most important part.
