As a member of the Coptic community, and an elected official in Ontario, I strongly condemn this horrific act of violence against a peaceful worship space. I stand in solidarity with my Coptic community, and will do everything I can to aid in the rebuilding of this church. The Coptic church will have a lot of expenses, and I am urging all my friends and colleagues to help rebuild this church so that they can continue their services to all communities in Surrey, B.C..
