Rebuilding Puerto Rico Service Trip

Tax deductible
Backpacks Full of Hope returns to Puerto Rico and you can help!

Last year a group of 19 iLEAD students and chaperones traveled to Puerto Rico over Spring Break to assist with relief efforts in the aftermath of Hurricane Maria. The devastation to the US territory was so severe that Backpacks Full of Hope will be returning this Spring Break to continue our efforts.  Only this year, there are 31 students and chaperones going, and we will be able to do even more.

Our first trip to Puerto Rico was on March 22nd, 2018. It lasted 8 days, and we planted over 400 trees, spent 12 hours building earthships, and donated tons of backpacks and duffle bags full of supplies to people in need.

We realized that many Puerto Ricans will be in need for a long time to come, so we have decided to return. Planning is well underway for our next trip, in which we will return to Puerto Rico over spring break of 2019 to help with similar efforts to last time (trees, shelters, and supplies).

Money donated to this page will go towards buying supplies for the people of Puerto Rico.  Please share this page with your friends and family.  You can also contribute by purchasing items off the Amazon Wishlist here.

As we are a non-profit organization, donations are tax deductible. Our Tax ID # is 47-4269250

We would greatly appreciate any donations you are able to give, and we thank you for your support.
