Rebuilding Mighty Mini #30

Hi my name is Laura Harris and I race car number 30 in the Mighty Mini Championship. After a promosing year, the last race of the season arrived....Pembrey race circuit in Pembrokshire on the 14th of October. I was set to come at least 7th in the championship (which would have been my best result by a long way), but before I could even race it all went very wrong, through no fault of my own...
During the practice session, I was on my last lap of the 20 minute session and half way round the hairpin when another driver lost control of his car, hitting me in the side at full pelt sending me into the tyre wall at some speed. I was left with whiplash and internal and external bruising, and my Mini, Betty, had condsiderable damage. I'm now improving but the same can't be said for Betty.
I run on a very tight budget and turn up to race meetings completly unaided, just me and my old Passat towing Betty on the trailer. I recently won the Neil Fernley Commitment Award for recognition of the effort I put in.
Something like this could potentially stop me racing, and doing the thing I love, for years.
I'm raising money for parts, labour and paint to get Betty out on track for what hopefully will be a succesfull 2018 season.
