Rebuilding life after trauma: It takes a village

Donation protected
In the early evening of March 17, 2021, a 15-year-old girl was the victim of a home invasion and attempted murder in Watertown, CT. We are so incredibly thankful that this young woman is home, with her family, recovering from her serious injuries.

Because the victim of this horrible crime is a minor, we are doing all that we can to protect her identity. I have been asked by the family to create this page to help with the immeasurable costs that they will face in the coming years.

We are humbly asking for donations to help offset the cost that this family will incur to ensure that they can provide their daughter with the best possible care as she navigates this new world that she was forced into.

As many of us know, in the days, weeks, months, and years after a trauma, we face unimaginable grief. With that comes time off of work to care for our loved ones, medical bills that we never thought we would have to pay, therapy services and so much more.

Of course, we will be happy to update you frequently as this courageous young woman recovers, but do ask that you respect the family's wishes to keep her identity private.

Thank you in advance for every penny donated and every kind word shared.
