<div>My name is Adel Alkhaldy,a third-year medical student from Gaza studying at Al-Azhar University. On the fateful day of 7/10 six months ago, our lives were turned upside down by the brutal war that destroyed our home, our university, and our future,taking the lives of several members of my family and friends.

<div>I am not alone in this struggle. My sister Iman, who is also studying medicine, my brother Mohammed pursuing engineering, and my sister Aya who just completed her dental studies last July, Aya was supposed to start her internship to obtain her professional license, but our universities and training hospitals like Al-Shifa and Al-Indonesi were bombed into ruins.
