Rebuilding Kingwood SCC

The congregation of Kingwood, TX has suffered a catastrophic event. In 2001, Hurricane Allison attacked our homes and our santuary. However, thanks to God and the hard work and dedication of our congregation, we were able to rebuild on higher grounds. Unfortunately, it is with a heavy heart that I announce that our church property has been hit yet again. You will find photos of our church on Facebook, and on this site. We are still unsure of all of the damages that have taken place on our property. However, roof leaks have already allowed water to enter into our sanctuary and some of our homes. Also, the San Jacinto river has risen and it now stands a few feet away from our homes, our gym, and our church. It has already destroyed over half of the property turning it into one huge river. It has completely destroyed our central office, our cafeteria, our nursery, and our children's playground has been carried away by the current. Our neighbors and everyone who has sought refuge at our church have had to evacuate to higher grounds. We are at a loss as to what we should do and to start from nothing, since all of us are in the same situation. This is why we are calling out to everyone who has been touched by our story. We pray that you may assist in ANY way that you can. Every little bit counts. We are eternally grateful for helping us rebuild once again.
