Hello friends,
My partner and I got scammed on an apartment and we just found out that there's no way to get our money back.
The police said they won't even assign someone the case because the losses are less that $5,000 and it's not profitable for them to pursue. The bank said the money is gone and there's nothing else they can do.
Now we can't move, can't pay off credit cards and loans, and are $3,600 in the hole $2,000 of which was kindly loaned to us from family. The money we're hoping to make back would go to paying back the money we owe to our families and making sure our debts don't increase.
We're feeling all kinds of things right now, angry, sad, disgusted, frustrated, etc. We've exhausted all of our resources and are at a dead end.
I'm asking for your prayers, good vibes, and for any help you can give; we'd be truly forever grateful.
It feels a little weird asking for financial help because there are so many more important things to invest in, but I was reminded that we're all meant to care for one another, ask for help when we need it, and pick each other up when we're down so that once we're up, we can turn around and do the same for others. We're taking a deep breath and trying to move forward with your help because it honestly takes a village.
