My name is Kara, and I'm reaching out to you all because my family & I need help rebuilding after a series of unfortunate events that have left us financially depleted. Like many families we were living paycheck to paycheck before, now we're struggling and forced to reach out to the pubIic for aid.

In the past 18 months, we have faced:

*Wiring issues with our household car, leading to several trips to the mechanic and expenses for diagnostics and repairs, as well as lost wages and expenses for alternate transportation (Approx. $1300)

*Defects in our houses water heater including stripped wires, resulting in the need for a full replacement ($1500; the cost of the replacement unit and the labor to install it)

*The element in our clothing dryer burnt out, leaving us in need of a replacement (Previous was purchased for $599)

*The motherboard in my households desktop computer has gone kaput ($400 for parts & labor)

On top of these things we have all struggled with both physical and mental health issues including hospitalization, a 2 year long court case that left us emotionally and financially worn, and struggles with finding reliable and steady employment. We have worked hard to keep above water and have gotten back to a place where we can survive. All we need is help to recover, rebuild, and get our Iives back on track.
