The project aims to re-pave the court’s surface, add drainage, add seating, install a street-facing fence or barrier, replace backboards, rims, nets. Overall, to accomplish this goal, we have to raise $30,000. We started this effort using our own money and with all the support received. We decided to use this platform to let others join us on the cause. We need to build our neighborhood back up, and just $80 covers the price of a new rim, but more than $15,000 is required to repave the basketball court alone.
All the money raised on this campaign goes to purchasing supplies and paying for labor. As we all may be aware, public social areas all around the country are being taken down to force social distancing and slow down the spread of COVID-19. However, young people need to remain physically active, and for many, they turn to basketball for social-emotional outlets as well. We all know how much this will positively impact our youth and the town of Plymouth as the summer begins, so please join us in giving back to our community.
